Cast the Boy: My boyfriend. We've been dating for two and a half years and I expect him to ask me to marry him soon-ish. He's taking oil and gas engineering and will be graduating in December. He still lives with his mother, but I do too, so we're even. Unfortunately, he plans to continue living with his mother for close to a year after he gets a job to "save money". my sister: She's getting married to a guy she just started dating in August. I'm to be her maid of honour, which means I get a lot of jobs to do and not a whole lot of credit. I'm not even sure I like the guy she's marrying. But, emotional turmoil is standard with her, it's one of the reasons we all love her. my parents: I've lived with them for 23 years and I'm about done. I love them dearly but I also dearly like to love them from a distance. My mom is afraid they're going to turn into her parents and she's left me instructions to kill them should it ever get that far. My mom's so funny. I would never kill them, just send them to a nursing home in Victoria. Austin: An old friend of mine who's just moved home from...Austin!. He's now started his electrical engineering degree and is looking forward to another four years of school. "Some guys have all the luck". J: I can't think of a better name for this friend, but it'll come to me. He's also an old friend of mine, but he's never moved away. At least, not for more than a summer. He's also an engineering graduate (notice a pattern?) but this time in Geomatics. Now he's working in his field but is thinking about leaving engineering behind and taking up the lucrative carreer of Adventure Guiding. Actually, I think it's pretty cool, I bet that job is rarely boring. |
