Flexibility is a matter of relativity I am so sore today. I suppose I should have expected four hours of cross-country skiing to make me sore, but it still sucks. And then, the hot tub was only at 99 degrees farenheight which is normal body temperature and not nearly warm enough for relaxing muscles. The day was beautiful though. It's much warmer in the mountains that it is here. I stripped down to the minimum in under-layers and I was still too hot. We arrived, intending to ski from the Boulton Creek Trading Post, and then turned around because the parking lot had just filled up with two full busses of serious skiiers. They were everywhere! So, we started from Pocaterra, where we didn't meet too many other skiiers, and then mostly older ones. But, never underestimate elderly cross-country skiiers. They've been doing it since your parents were knee-high to a grasshopper and they're fast. Three old guys passed us twice, that means we were lapped on a cross country ski trail! I'm so glad we went on a Saturday so I have a day at home to recover before being ridiculed at work for my lack of flexibility. But I am flexible! Just not in my skiing muscles. |
