A surprising turn of events The three of us went to Whistler today. The weather was perfect for it, absolutely perfect. Sunny and warm, but not too warm. We did the Lost Lake Loop, which is a cross-country ski trail in the winter and a nice, easy walk in the summer. The lake was quite attractive, and apparently good for swimming since there were beaches and swim rafts scattered around the perimiter. We came across a long dock that stretched out into the lake and decided to eat our lunch there with the sun at our backs. We'd been sitting chatting for 15 or so minutes when one of my roommates noticed that the man at the very end of the dock was completely naked. After digesting this fact for a few minutes, we went back to our lunch, only to look up in amazement when we heard him say into a cell phone "Hi Mom". Who would strip down to nothing in a public park and then call his mother? We decided to head back to our walk about a half hour later, and as we were walking back up to the path I turned around for a last look at the lake and saw another man taking off his clothes and spreading out a towel. Two naked men in the same spot, arriving within an hour of each other! We decided it just couldn't possibly be a coincidence and spent a few minutes hunting for the sign warning casual passers-by that this dock was not for the faint of heart. However, there were no signs to be found. Makes you wonder. The rest of our day was quite pleasant, but uneventful. I think I might have a nap. |
