A recap Can I be back at school already? It feels like I never left, or like the past three weeks happened a long long time ago. It's a bit weird really, like maybe this is becoming home. I was so convinced that I could never call this home, but I guess anything is possible. So, Christmas vacation in a nutshell: Family, friends, food, laughter, anticipation, pleasure, surprise, joy. Now in slightly more detail: First week back was warm and sunny. I met with my project sponsor, which went very well, cut and highligted my hair, did Christmas shopping, and attended the Boy's christmas party. Second week back was still warm. Did some more Christmas shopping, visited with some old friends, celebrated birthdays (and I repeat my vow never to have children near the holidays), wrapped then unwrapped gifts and ate enough food to last me two weeks. Third week back was very cold and snowy. Went cross-country skiing, spent time doing nothing, visited Golden to celebrate the arrival of the new year, visited with old friends again, enjoyed my family. Then it was time to get back on the bus. If I ever again mention taking the Greyhound from Calgary to Vancouver, someone remind me how awful it was. Now I'm back at it, and so far it looks like this semester will be less intense than the last, but it's hard to say. Interesting thing happened today though. |
