I think caffein should be considered a drug My sister's fiancee spent $100 on coffee last month on his credit card. Just his credit card, this is not counting times when he paid with money in his pocket or his debit card. Let's do a little math. If we say he spent a total of $120 on coffee and say that he spends about that much every month, then that's $1,440 per year. I would have to work 96 hours to pay for that much coffee. The could pay for two months rent and utilities with that much money. He's definitely addicted to it. He tried to cut back once and was unable to function properly without it. Doesn't it bother him that he's spending almost $1500 per year on something that probably isn't very good for him and his body won't let him stop drinking? And, why doesn't he make it at home? Because he doesn't. They have a coffee maker but it doesn't get used. I bought him ground coffee for christmas and my sister says it's still in the freezer. I think being addicted to something would seriously upset me. It's a loss of control over one more facet of your life. And it's expensive. |
