Events One of my favourite parts of spring is when the nights start staying warm enough to be out without seeing your breath in the air in front of you. Tonight is such a night, it made me so happy when I left my sister's new appartment at 10. My life has been eventful in a uneventful (for me) way. I finished my exams, my sister moved and has apparently called off her wedding, and I had a wonderful trip to the cabin. Exams, well, they're over. The whole finished my degree thing hasn't really sunk in yet so I can't say I'm super excited for anything except summer. My sister has has a couple of upheavals, but I'm on the periphery (spelled right?) so I know things but they don't affect me much. Kind of. The wedding is off, I'm not really clear on the details but they are still a couple and in theory are still getting married, just not in June. Maybe having an appartment of their own will help, I'm not really sure. The cabin, as usual, was idyllic. In a blustery sort of way since there was a wind warning on Friday night. We drained the pond and refilled it, which is a messy smelly job. We pulled up the rotten walkways in the garden, also messy, and we turned on the water for the first time this spring. I can't wait for really warm weather and long hours of sitting in the sun on the deck/grass/driveway/beach/boat with a book. And tubing. I've been away for two summers in a row now and I miss boat toys. So, eventful yet uneventful. How deep is that? |
