Is Brainwashing along the same lines as washing your mouth out with soap? My supervisor at work has built himself an army of students. I didn't notice it at first because I've been here long enough to become accustomed to how life is here. Today though, a new girl started, and there's two more due to start in the next month or so. I started doing some math and realised that he's got nine of us with talk of a tenth! All doing work on his many projects. Maybe he's going to win our loyalty and then try and take over the Earth Sciences Sector of the Government! Or maybe he's brainwashing us, and he's going to use us as a specially trained crack fighting team to overthrow the dictatorship of the GSC! I watched a Star Trek once (yes, I'm a geek) where one of the crew got stranded on a planet in the middle of a war and got picked up by a army batallion. He came to sympathize with them after being nursed back to health by their citizens and started fighting with them once the town he lived in was destroyed by the enemy. Turns out though, that it was all an elaborate brainwashing scheme, and none of it ever happened. It was their way of keeping fighters in the war, by making it personal. Hmm...was there any point to that story? Not really. I had a dream last night that I was some sort of spy, sent in undercover (in a wedding dress) to complete some sort of mission. So, where was I hiding when I was in danger of being caught? In the men's washroom, with my white high heeled shoes sticking out from under the stall door. I distinctly remember looking at my feet and realizing my problem, tucking them up and then noticing that the stall was quite short and anyone could look over the door down at me. What do you suppose the significance of that dream is? Something about having something to hide but really wanting to be found out...? I have so many strange dreams that I don't even bother trying to figure them out most times. I enjoy dreaming though, or rather I enjoy having just woken up and realizing it was all a dream. |
