A boring recap of the past 24 hours The holidays are over, *sigh*. I'm working 40 hours this week before school starts up again to help pay off christmas. Although, I think I'm in pretty good shape as far as that goes, so maybe this is for future savings. I'm hoping the results of my school application will be final soon, so maybe I can be saving for that. So, I'm back to the madhouse that is work. My supervisor has been on holidays too, so we're all catching up. It's fun when even your boss isn't really sure what's going on. So far all the catching up I've done is to look at the company christmas party pictures. They've posted them on our public drive. I didn't go, but it's always fun to see your co-workers all gussied up. Especially after they've been drinking. Last night the Boy and I went visiting his brother, sister-in-law, and his nieces and nephew. We didn't visit much with the grown-ups though. The kids are well behaved, but they're very intense and they don't like to play by themselves while there's company. Not that I mind, I love playing with kids, but they do get a tad exhausting after a while. The youngest is three and she's adorable. She pretends to be Dora the Explorer although I don't really know who that is. Makes you feel old when kids are pretending games you've never heard of. Their middle child is the math genius and is also completely obsessed with Doom, the computer game. He can talk about it, non-stop, for hours. If the subject didn't bore me to the point of tears, his capacity for uninterupted chatter would fascinate me. Their oldest is much quieter than the other two and was happy to have her grandma read to her. They're such good kids, they make me want to have some of my own. |
