Sunny days Ah, there's nothing like a weekend away to recharge a body. The lake, of course, was wonderful. It always is, even when the weather's terrible. And the weather was far from terrible. There was even time to sit on the deck in the sun. Edmonton was also wonderful, mostly because of the good company. Charlie is a beautiful person, inside and out. And, his wife is pretty stand-up too. She even wears the same size clothes as me and donated a bunch to my cause. We saw Hellboy, which was less than stellar, and rented an horror movie filmed in Okotoks in the 80s called Night Breed. They'd seen it, we hadn't. We all agreed it was terrible. Oh, and we went to the BIG MALL. Biggest in Canada, possibly North America and even the world. A mall is a mall, but this one has submarines, a dolphin show, a skating rink, and a huge water park. Not that we did any of that, but we could've. A good weekend, and I legitimately had no homework to not do. I was free to forget about school for two whole days. Hmm...I haven't been drinking for a while. Maybe I'll do that over the long weekend. |
