Rugby...the gentleman's sport Well, Canada beat Tonga in its last match of the Rugby World Cup. At least they didn't go out without any wins. I started following Rugby while I was in New Zealand. It's a much different sport to watch when the local team is one of the best in the world. It's like hockey is in Canada. HUGE So now it's the world cup and I'm trying to follow it, but it's hard when all the games are played in Australia. They're 20 hours ahead of us here in Alberta. That makes any evening games (which most are) in the middle of the night. Assuming they're televised live. However, NZ is tied for the lead with France with 15 points so I'm happy. I'm even happier because Canada managed to score some points against the All Blacks (not an easy thing to do when you're out classed at that level). So, my rugby world is complete. Now, all I need is for the Men in Black to with the World Cup back from Oz and everything will be right with the world. Well, the Rugby world. In my real world, my sister is getting married to someone she barely knows. This is weighing on my mind. She's such a baby (she must be, because I'm still a baby and she's younger than me). She's in love with getting married. She's definitely in love with planning the wedding. A mutual friend of ours says he'd like to give her a slap. I see where he's coming from. I've restrained myself more than once. I think disaproval might only firm her resolve though. And besides, I can't keep myself from thinking that maybe they're a match made in heaven and will be happy for the rest of their lives. What's to say that dating someone for a long time will help more to prepare yourself for marriage? Hmm...deep questions. I think I'll ponder them over some chocolate chip cookies. Spawkly out |
