Anger Management The girl who's computer is next to mine has serious anger issues. She has a tendency to throw tantrums when she's upset. Right now, everytime she needs to do anything, she's doing it loudly. Banging the keys and slamming her mouse down. Plus she keeps muttering things under her breath. I understand how frustrated she is, and I'd be upset too, in her place, but the noise is really distracting. Instead of allowing all her angry energy to escpe as noise and swears, she should be redirecting it to get through all her stuff quickly and accurately. But, maybe being audibly angry makes her feel better. Or maybe it helps her to stay angry longer. I know that whenever something goes wrong she blames someone else so maybe a tantrum allows that assumption to perpetuate itself. I like to think that I can put my anger to a better use. I try hard to keep the serenity prayer in mind. Right now, I'm trying to see the funny side of the angry noises behind me rather than be annoyed or upset. It's getting easier the longer she keeps it up. |
